Now in its third year, Home for the Holidays – A Taste of Ruston is a beloved community event that brings together the best of Ruston’s local restaurants, small businesses, and supporters for an evening of purpose and celebration. Hosted at The Big House, this festive night is more than just a gathering — it’s a chance for our community to come together to help build homes, hope, and stability for families right here in North Louisiana.
Guests enjoy an elevated tasting experience featuring bites and sips from some of Ruston’s favorite chefs and culinary creators, live entertainment, and a carefully curated auction — all in support of Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana. Every dollar raised helps build safe, affordable homes in the 17-home Habitat neighborhood underway in Ruston, where two families are already living in completed homes and more are on the way.
What makes this event so special is the spirit behind it — neighbors helping neighbors, businesses giving back, and a community showing up with generosity and joy. Home for the Holidays isn’t just a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of what’s possible when Ruston comes together to lift others up.
Habitat for Humanity of North Louisiana is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate substandard housing. It is not a giveaway program. Houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. Mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat homes.
Our Mission Statement: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
